This tenor banjo has been professionally restored.
When I originally acquired it the neck and split laterally across the heel because, so I learned later, the neck was not original to the instrument. With some luthier magic, the split was repaired, and the neck altered slightly at the joint to fit the pot properly. Add in a replacement tailpiece (no cover despite the pics) and it is ready to go.
