This beautiful Prewar banjo is coming up on its 100yr anniversary and has been in my collection for over a decade. It was aquired from an older collection prior to that and is beautifully preserved in original condition as far as I can tell. Mahogany body, Mable neck, brass nut, active and passive humbuckers with MOOG electronics! All original with the original case. 1961 Fender Musicmaster guitar. Former owner bought this in the 90??s as an original finish guitar, but it is actually a 30+ year old refinish in Dakota Red. Appears to have originally been Olympic White. Finish checking on both sides does not photograph well. Neck appears to have been over-sprayed with clear at the same time. Here is a rare find, I have a 1966 Fender Telecaster's original parts from the same guitar; pickups, control plate with original Stackpole pots that date to the 31st week (August 1st-7th) of 1966, capacitor, 3-way switch and knobs. Even the screws for the pickguard & control plate plus the long screws and springs for neck pickup. All of this was original to the 66 Telecaster he owned and are not reproduction parts. This amazingly preserved vintage mandolin banjo is well over 100 years old! It features a tenor neck with the iconic The Gibson inlay on the headstock. This is an antique handcrafted traditional mandolin that is beautifully decorated. It has its original eight keys and 7 of 8 strings. This Vintage 30's banjo needs set up. All parts are there except a single tuner and an arm rest if it ever had one. It has Beautiful solid Birdseye Maple resonator with ebony fingerboard and headstock. The neck heel has had a simple repair. I never got around finishing this one. It is 24 1 / 2 scale. The frets are good. It just needs some surface mount pickups and electronics. Blue tape is on tuners to keep bushings from getting lost.... more
