This is an interesting guitar. Two-piece maple tops were rare on Standards of this era. So was any sort of flame. So were nickel parts. I think that this guitar may have started out as some sort of pre-historic or Heritage but was sold as a regular Les Paul Standard for whatever reason. That's just a theory.
