This longneck open back RB-175 Gibson banjo is from the late 1960s or early 1970s. It has three extra frets which allow banjoists and singers to play in open E. These longneck models were popularized in the 50s and 60s during the folk music boom. Pete Seeger played a banjo like this one

Bought this earlier this year (2024) fresh out of the box. Played maybe twice and discovered I??m just a Strat person, missed the return window and stashed it away in a closet. Can??t technically list as brand new but condition is still like brand new, never even took the plastic off the case handle, so better than any floor model you??ll find. Will ship UPS ground.
