So the big news on this one is there is a crack on the headstock. I had it strung up with some medium gauge acoustic strings and it never seemed to bother it at all but the crack flexes a little bit when torqued upon. I have not screwed it down or glued it which would likely help. The truss rod I imagine is holding it in tighter then it would be if there was not a truss rod and I assume there is a truss rod because there is a truss rod plastic cover although I have not removed it. Up for sale is a vintage Gibson purple lined acoustic guitar Hardshell case. I took the measurements of the case to give someone the best idea of what this case fits as off the top I would say a J 45 or J 50 but I don??t have one laying around at the moment to fit in this case. The old Kluson tuners work pretty well considering their age. This is a Carson J. Robison model 926 Flat Top Acoustic Guiter that was made by Gibson around 1934 when they were located in Kalamazoo Michigan. I've owned this Gibson J45 for many years. Honestly, I've never really played it much. It's just been part of my collection. Someone made a very bad attempt at gluing a crack at the soundhole. Has the usual nicks, scuffs, and scratches you find on 60-year-old guitars, but no bad cracks, splits, repairs, etc. Neck is straight providing excellent action. Bridge is original rosewood. I am a guitar player, and have done much research on this vintage Kalamazoo archtop, manufactured by Gibson. My research shows that this is most likely a model KG-11, specs below. It was an estate sale find, and has the level of wear to be expected from a late 1930s instrument. Up for sale is a 1965 Gibson LG-1 acoustic guitar. This guitar is in fair to good condition. It does show normal signs of age and use, including scratches, dents and dings. The finish on this guitar is crackling, over most of the guitar. There are small holes on the front of the body where I suspect the pick guard use to be.
