Vintage guitars for sale: 1973 gibson

This is a 1973 (possibly?) Gibson B-45-12 Deluxe acoustic guitar, restored to expert quality. It is a right-handed 12-string dreadnaught with a natural / brown finish. The guitar has 20 frets and comes with a hard case. The model is part of the Vintage series by Gibson
The serial number is really hard to see but definitely starts with a B then followed by 6 numbers. (See Photo)There is a 9V battery mounted inside and an amp plug on the bottom.... more

This 50-year-old guitar has all the original Bill Lawrence electronics, high output Super Humbucking pickups, 6 position rotary switch etc
Position 1 Both pickups, in series, in phase (wiring in series results in a bit more high-end)
Position 2 Activates the front pickup only
Position 3 Activates both pickups in a parallel, in phase configuration
Position 4 Activates both pickups, parallel out of phase

Up for sale is a clean and mean 1973 Gibson Dove Custom in its original natural finish. Typically 70s era Gibson acoustics get mixed reviews but I must say this one sounds fantastic. Overall in excellent condition less some light play wear, some areas of finish checking and a repaired / cleated crack on the face of the body. Pro setup in house and comes complete with its original hard case and some hang tags. Weight: 5lbs. 1oz.

Here we have an amazing 1973 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Goldtop. This 50 year old Kalamazoo, Michigan made at the old Gibson Factory guitar has been very well taken care of and not played a whole heck of a lot. Besides having almost no laquer checking, the frets show no real wear and no signs of any pitting as well. Original case in fair condition and included. Some belt buckle rash. a few pocks on the neck. very underplayed. It sat under my friend's bed since 1985. Looks like some mold got under the lacquer. This I do not know about. I am not the owner. This is owned by a dear friend who wants some help selling it. He was the third owner when he bought it in 1980. 1973 Gibson Les Paul Custom. Ebony. OHSC. All original with the exception of a refret, so it now plays great. The strap buttons are also modern replacements. No breaks or damage. Usual play wear for a 51 year old guitar but nothing major. Untouched solder. Original T-Tops sound fantastic. Nice vintage low output pickups with clarity. 9lb 13oz so good for a 70s Custom. It feels lighter. A very resonant Les Paul with lots of sustain which sounds great. The original factory fitted Grovers work well... more
