The serial number is "606162" which dates it to early 1975. Fender changed from the 4-bolt to 3-bolt on this model in 1974 so this one's probably one of the last! The pots date to February and July 1974 (137-7405 and 7429). The date codes on the pickups and neck are not readable
The body is in good condition overall, but has a lot of dings, scratches, and scuffs. There is some routing in the neck pickup area but it's all covered by the pickguard. There's an extra ... more

Up for sale is a 1975 Fender Jazz Bass in its original sunburst finish. This example has a heft amount of wear and tear and looks oh so sweet. The fretboard has a crack repair on the face and there is a repaired stress crack on the back of the headstock. Lots of finish wear and play well. Fun vintage Jazz Bass! Sounds great and plays well. It has been modified somewhat from it's original spec. It started life as a standard fretted bass. At some point in its past possibly in the 80's it's had the original fretboard removed cut and slab boarded. It's now a custom fretless spec.
