hello,
incredibly rare and insanely cool 56 tweed deluxe, tolex'd in black by the fender factory around 1967.
this was fender's promo / loaner / rental, so it's one of the best deluxe's on the planet. what do you think they were going to loan out? it's just different, it's better. a little more on the headroom side of the spectrum, which is a very good thing. this amp was tolex'd because it was likely so beat up from so much use. one can only imaginethe recordings and gigs this thing was... more

This complete and very clean set of 3 OEM original Fender mid 1950's bridge saddles was removed from a 1956 Fender Esquire guitar They are in amazingly good condition. The screw heads are still nice and all screws turn as they should. These are the steel (nickel I believe) round saddles. They are shaped like the earlier solid brass ones except the bottoms aren't flat. It looks like the bottom of one of the saddle screws was filed or ground at some point (shown in picture). Up for sale is a super cool vintage 1956 Fender Duo Sonic Gold Guard in Desert Sand. We love this era of the student gold guard instruments and this one is a lot of fun to play. It appears at some point in this guitars life the body was painted another color (Red?) and it looks as though the amateur refinish was sanded and removed to what we see now. ONE set of exceedingly rare original triad power and output transformers for a 5B8, 5C8, 5D8 FENDER Tweed TWIN   TRIAD 2485 output Transformer and 6516 power transformer as used in the Pro, Bassman, Super and Twin.
Around 1956 when they went to the dual rectifier 5E8 with 7993 power, 2818 output and the 14597 choke the 5616 and 2485 were phased out .
