So the big news on this one is there is a crack on the headstock. I had it strung up with some medium gauge acoustic strings and it never seemed to bother it at all but the crack flexes a little bit when torqued upon. I have not screwed it down or glued it which would likely help. The truss rod I imagine is holding it in tighter then it would be if there was not a truss rod and I assume there is a truss rod because there is a truss rod plastic cover although I have not removed it. Up for sale is a 70??s Conrad Japan EB3 style bass. Has the cool slot headstock. Very versatile sounding. It??s in great solid shape but lots of cosmetic wear. Lots of finish wear, dents and dings. The neck pocket has some cracks at the sides but they are stable and have no movement. I flexed them pretty well to verify. The neck pickup is a modern replacement with a nickel cover. Circa 1970 Teisco made beatle bass. Tested and working perfectly you won??t find a cleaner more original example. Action is lower than any other beetle base I??ve played and still can go lower. Freshly cleaned and tuned up electronics. No issues

These bases sound exactly like a Hofner from the period and are a 1 / 8 of the price

Here is a pretty clean Conrad Bass. There is wear from normal use. The guitar looks pretty clean other than some finish flaking off on the back see pics. This one ships I the original hard case that is made of wood. The case and guitar weight in at 32lbs. I will ship the case in shipping paper and wrap it with tape for shipping. an outer box would add even more to the shipping cost.

Beautiful Conrad 1246 bass with original softshell case. These were only made for two years, rare bass with a beautiful tone.
Cosmetic wear exists such as chips, scuffs and clear coat checking. Condition for age is excellent. Neck is straight and frets have plenty of life left. Truss rod moves as it should
