A nice Gibson Mandolin. This is marked on the inner label that it is the A2 body. In overall good or better condition. Some mild finish wear overall, no apparent damage or cracks. There are some mild dings and scratches, there is a small chip our of the bottom strap button. No high strings, will likely need restrung. Great looking Gibson CMT from 1982
For 40 years old it's in great shape
Whatever dings there are to be found are minimal. The biggest of which are by the wings and I got the best photos I could of them. If you want more, just holler
The back might be one of my favorite faces of it. There is a super minimal amount of worming where buckle rash would be but its only visible in certain lights. The finish on it just looks beautiful though

This listing is for a celluloid pearloid sheet from the estate of Maudie Moore. Maudie was a Kalamazoo resident that began working for Gibson in the 1960's and went on to being a self employed subcontractor in the 1970's for Gibson and a number of other brands.

These had a gold / yellowish patina or whatever you call it, after polishing it came off and now they look like chrome or what I call "white gold " . You can still see some of the yellow around the pole screws and the bottom of the covers near the mounting tabs. There's no stains on them, that's reflections of tree leaves above

- None of the electronics are original and would want to be redone with decent pots ect

This run of guitars had ebony fretboard, which is what I like most of this model. The pickups are also very good and sought-after, apparently a classic for grunge sound. There's a good video on youtube describing this. The guitar is in good shape, but the serial and Made in USA stamp a bit faded - I could still read them and date it to 1981 though. Someone had stuck a sticker fake gem as the dot of the i on the Gibson logo, which I removed and now the dot is not visible oh well. Other than ... more
