This is the best year for these as far as investment goes. Yes, it is a great playing and sounding guitar in excellent original condition. Finding one of these that has not been stripped of it's electronics and magical pickups is pretty rare today. This is a vintage 1961 Gibson PAF humbucker set that orginally lived in a Gibson L5 with a 1961 serial number. The Centralab pot is dated the 2nd week of 1962, which gives the PAFs a likely birthdate of 1961 or before. This set of pickups if from the Tone Specific collection of vintage pickups used for R&D purposes that we used to create our line of pickups.
