Up for sale, a 1917 The Gibson L-3 acoustic archtop in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. The most ornate model built on Gibson's smaller archtop platform (13 3 / 4?? lower bout width), the L-3 features a hand-carved solid Adirondack spruce top, solid birch back and sides, and a mahogany neck capped by an ebony fretboard. Up for sale is a vintage Gibson L50 archtop from 1953. This guitar plays great, sounds great (has a carved Spruce top). Besides many little dings and a fixed crack off the F-hole (see picture) it??s in solid, very good condition. The tuners have been replaced at some point with knock off Kluson style tuners that do the job. This guitar is easy to play and stays in good tune. 1935-36 Cromwell Archtop manufactured by Gibson during the depression in the U S. Made with all solid woods from Brazil and elsewhere. This guitar has solid neck joint and plays well up and down the neck. It would benefit from a proper setup. It has 10??s on it currently that have the right kind of light string tension.
