Vintage guitars for sale: fender duo sonic

This listing is for one set of six (6) Single line Kluson's from a 1957 Musicmaster. Will also fit Duo-Sonic's. The nickel plate is oxidized. Some turn smooth, some are a little loose, but not skipping. Good, solid original buttons. However, they are what they are, old Kluson's. They were made to much sloppier tolerances than what we see today and on top of that, they have over 60 years of use and abuse on them. For that reason, they are sold as is. No mounting hardware included.

The original Red '64 body was replaced with this original Blue '66 body. Up for sale is a super cool vintage 1956 Fender Duo Sonic Gold Guard in Desert Sand. We love this era of the student gold guard instruments and this one is a lot of fun to play. It appears at some point in this guitars life the body was painted another color (Red?) and it looks as though the amateur refinish was sanded and removed to what we see now. The pickups on this guitar are not the original pickups, the pickups are Custom Shop Seymour Duncan Antiquities that were put in more recently. Aside from the pickup switch, everything underneath the pickguard has been replaced.

I bought this guitar about 10 years ago from a friend that passed away and had a guitar collection. I found the guitar in the condition shown on the second picture. This is one of the coolest small guitars that??s an all original Duo Sonic from April 1957. Its original opaque Desert Sand finish is in nice shape over a lightweight alder body. Its Maple Neck is super comfy & very flamey. Its original Gold Anodized pickgard is worn as she??s been played most of her life w / a very cool patina. 1962 Fender Duo Sonic. Guitar is in very good shape, some fret wear, mostly on the first 5 frets. All original except for input jack, original included. Original case in fair condition. Owned since 1966, played very little. Input jack was replaced around 2010, and hasn??t been played much since. Overall the guitar is in good shape, just changed the strings.
