These came as standard equipment on Japan Epiphone Rivoli, Aria and Penco EB Series basses and some Univox & Greco models. It's quite hard-to-find these days as a result of limited production. This is a very strong pickup with 2-conductor wiring so it's very easy to install. It registers a very strong 9 00k on my trusty meter so you know it means business. It will not separate under normal conditions. Has some finish marks. The neck is straight and truss rod functions as it should. The frets are in great shape. It is in like new condition. The only blemish I can find is a small scratch on the bottom of the guitar as shown in the picture

I am selling a vintage 1972 Epiphone 4 string short scale bass guitar with its original case. Made in Japan. I have another guitar just like this with a perfect pickguard and I am going to put this perfect pickguard on this bass. The case is useable

Used beautiful in very good condition I have owned this bass for over 40 years in the late 70??s this bass was refinished and refurbished by Virgil Lay founder of Lays guitar repair in Akron Ohio everything that is on this bass was done in 1978 it has many awesome upgrades a Bartolini split coil muddbucker pick up with two 2 position toggle switches a Badass bridge and Grover tuners. Guitar has some scratches. It has a ding on the back and pick scratches on the pickguard. Fully working and cleaned and polished with Dunlop 65 set. One knob metal insert is missing. Check the photos. Cable used couple times to check guitar and amps. FB-15 amp is unused. Fully working. Stand is very good condition, a few scratches but no dent or bent

This is a rare Epiphone, which was Orville by Gibson in Japan, Thunderbird Bass made in Japan in the 1990's
This Thunderbird is very similar to the 1964 issues and has a Gibson Thunderbird scratch plate and added thumb brace
It also features the 64 Claw at he back of the bridge to hold the strings and looks like the John Entwistle 64
