This listing is for one (1) very early Duncan Distortion pickup. While typically "non-logo" means no logo on the bobbin, the earliest years Duncan's had no logo on the baseplate. This pickup was purchased in 1981, so it might be one of the first batches. It has all the first generation features, notably the taller profile created by thicker magnets. They slimmed them down by the time they started stamping the base plates in 1982.

Vintage 1983 Electra Phoenix Electric Guitar X185GR Made in Japan Matsumoku Vintage

Guitar is in over all great shape. Body has no cracks, it does have a few very small minor dents here or there. The neck shows no signs of cracking. It is missing 2 strings and does need a clean / tune up. Was taken to a guitar shop and needs roughly $100 in parts to get it working. It has not been tested as it could be damaged if not repaired first. With a little TLC she can be good as new.

Overall, in good preowned condition with usual wear from normal use and age. Plays and sounds beautifully with medium action height. The pics with the quarter are taken at the 12th and 3rd fret. It is my understanding that the top, back, and sides are all made of spruce which is somewhat of a rarity on acoustic guitars. Early 1980s USA Fender Bullet 1. Serial number would suggest 1981, but neck stamp says 1983 (clearly parts were getting mixed around toward the end of the USA run at Fullerton). The serial number is "E108789 " , the neck is dated "3-14-83" and the pots date to October 1982. This is the final version of the Bullet before they shifted production to Japan. The early ones from 1981 have a very thick neck while this one is much thinner like the Strats made around the same time.
