This is a 1966 - 1968 Fender Jaguar electric guitar. What makes this somewhat of a rare guitar is that the hardware is all dated to 1966, but the logo on the headstock (which is partially rubbed off) dates to 1968. My best guess on this is that it was assembled in 1968 using 1966 parts, and a 1968 decal / logo put on. The decal on the headstock is original and tested under blacklight. This is a neat early Mustang Bass from Fender. This 1966 model sports a Dakota Red finish with all original parts and electronics.
The bass and original case are extremely clean. There is checking on the body and headstock, as well as some light dings and topical scratches. The back of the neck has a finish blem where it rests in the case as many of these do. The foam for the mutes has long since disintegrated. There is no damage or any major dents

Fender Bandmaster 1966 40w head with a 2x12 1960s Fender cab. In decent cosmetic condition for its age

Both channels sound fantastic. However, the vibrato effect has stopped working so the amp needs a service. (Probably it just needs a new optocoupler which cost about £10 ) The vibrato channel still operates normally except for the vibrato itself
