Vintage guitars for sale: Fender
Leo Fender started producing solid body electric guitars in Fullerton, California in 1950, with an electric bass following in 1951... the story has been told many times before; in short, Fender introduces a series of instruments, so perfect in their design that aswell as being the guitars on which countless newer models were based, they continued to sell, effectively unchanged for decades to come.
As used by just about every guitarist you can think of...
Models to look out for: Stratocaster, Telecaster, Jaguar, Precision bass, Jazz bass, Bass VI. Fifties and early sixties instruments can sell for huge sums, whilst late seventies guitars have a somewhat shaky reputation.

Fender SubSonic baritone electric guitar. Made in America. Maple neck and fretboard. All original parts (no modifications done whatsoever). I have taken great care of this guitar since I bought it about 15 or so years ago. Never gigged. Mostly stayed in a gig bag in a closet. Smoke-free home. Does not come with a Fender brand hard case, however I did purchase a brand new Topeakmart (see photos) hard shell case in order to ship this guitar to you and ensure that it will be protected. Selling the pickguard off my 1963 stratocaster. It's in really good shape for its age. It has minimal shrinking, and still fits well. The pickups and screws fit with no issues. There is the typical crack by one of the neck pickup screws, which almost all vintage celluloid nitrate stratocaster pickguard shave developed. This one is very clean. Guaranteed to be 100% authentic. This listing is for the pickguard only.... more

Selling my 1965 Pre-CBS Fender Stratocaster. This guitar sounds and plays amazingly. Great Action, This is a 52 year old ALL original 1965 Fender Stratocaster as you can see by the date stamps and other numbers.with the exception of being refinished last year by world famous Dan at Lays Guitars using the exact paint and nitro as original which means it will yellow just like ALL the other white guitars painted in that time era. Numbers are hard to read on pots , best I could make out the numbers ... more

Up for sale is a 1971ish Fender Musicmaster bass neck. Great shape! The main issue is the broken nut. Cosmetically, finish checking and looking a little dirty. Some light nicks, scratches. Fretboard and frets have no significant wear; back of the neck has some finish checking and peeling. The neck has a backbow but it is not substantial and doesn't affect use. String tension will level it out along with a setup. Truss rod works well. Shipping is $20.00. Except international - email me. Thanks ... more

Fender Duo Sonic - Vintage - D.O.M. 1961 - w / Case Serial No. 68764 This vintage guitar has been professionally refinished. It has a very nice Rosewood fretboard with minimal fret-wear. The instrument was refinished in the early 90's and over time it has begun to show typical paint striation (see photo). Keep in mind the Duo Sonic is not a full size guitar, however, the fretboard plays like a standard sized instrument. The guitar has been professionally set up for fast action and it plays very ... more

From the glory years of Fender Japan this beautiful 2 tone tobacco sunburst ST-54 Stratocaster with rare hardtail! Remarkably well preserved-with just a couple of edge scratches. Also a tiny chip on fretboard at first fret area-low E string area-could easily be touched up but I will not alter-see close up of headstock picture for a better look. This was made during the Fuji Gen era and not to be confused with the "Crafted in Japan" models that were made post 1996. Overall I would rate as a 9.75 ... more

On offer is a 1987 Fender American Standard Stratocaster in lipstick red. It is among the first guitars made in the USA by the then-new Fender ownership group (post-CBS!). Paperwork (included) indicates that the guitar was originally sold by a dealer in September 1987. (E4xxxxx serial numbers were used between 1987-89). I am the second owner. Guitar is all-original and in overall excellent condition. It has seen very little playing time and has only trace marks in the body finish. The neck and ... more

Hi everyone, you are bidding on a really cool guitar. His name is Leo. He's a 1965 fender jaguar 24 inch neck on a custom made body. From a distance he looks like a fancy strat. Body is laminated maple and rosewood. Frets are in good shape. I bought this guitar from a pawn shop on eighth ave in nyc in the late 1980s. Pawn shop closed over 20 years ago. The neck is straight and the body is prettier than any stock jaguar. Guitar has three pickups one of which is active , a five way selector switch... more
